Sweet Sketch Wednesday

Another great sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2, here it is

and here is my card

I flipped the sketch because I originally intended to put a circular sentiment in the bottom right hand corner then changed my mind.
The image is Lili of the Valley, papers are Basic Grey Archaic, twine is American Crafts and the wood veneer shapes are Studio Calico. The relax sentiment is from a Crafters Companion stamp and the brown card came from Craftwork Cards years ago but the base card came from them quite recently.

Thank you for taking the time to visit xx

Black and white

Looking through my newsfeed on Blogger I noticed that Crafty Cardmakers and more had a black and white challenge this time around and as I had just come across some neglected black and white papers I thought I would give it a go and here is the result

I also used some neglected Spellbinders nestabilities and peel offs and used up a piece of ribbon too.

Thank you for visiting and for any comments you are kind enough to leave

Coffee and cream

I rediscovered the Lili of the Valley image on this card when I was looking through a folder at the weekend, then I was looking for some paper to go with the image I had chosen for Kaths card and I rediscovered some papers which came from Craftwork Cards years ago and had a lightbulb moment that they would match and here is the result.

(Sorry about the glare in the top right hand corner)

The mat for the image is the largest die in the Spellbinders Splendid Circles set, flowers are Prima and the ribbon is seam binding from Stampin Up.

I am entering this in the Allsorts Challenge Blog  challenge which this week is Buttons and Bows, I hope that one bow covers it.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday

I think that sketch challenges are my favourite and I quite liked the look of the sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 this week so thought that I would give it a go

Here is the sketch

and here is my effort

The images and papers are both from Lily of the Valley, base card and sentiment are Craftwork Cards.
The card bow is a Memory box die, ribbon is American Crafts and I made the sparkly thing in the middle of the bow from paper clay and stickles.

Thank you for visiting and hope another card on your dashboard so soon wasn't too big a shock Kath xx

Sketch n Stash 130

Happy New Year

Well I've been a bit neglectful of the old blog recently, between Christmas and a family bereavement something had to give but back now with an entry for the latest challenge over at Sketch n Stash , and here it is.

and here is my card

I used a Craftwork Cards 148mm square scalloped card, the patterned paper and decoupage are from Crafters Companion Makey Bakey mice CD rom. The round sentiment is Lili of the Valley and the "it's your day" is from Hero Arts. Everything else is from my stash.
